Comments about La Pavoni La Pavoni 4 Oz Burr (NO ETA):

I use a french press, and with this grinder I get just the right flavor, texture, and ease of press without excess sludge. Although noisy, my friends and I use a dish towel to wrap the top while grinding so that we don't interrupt the conversation in the evening or in the morning wake our spouses too soon. I have used other 'slicer' type grinders but I like the texture of the grind from the Pavoni best of all.

Comments about La Pavoni La Pavoni 4 Oz Burr (NO ETA):

Grinder will turn on after use when attempting to remove the container. Adjusting grinder setting doesn't seem to make a difference. I purchased two of these one as a gift and one for home to replace an older La Povoni burr grinder. I like the old better but it is white and not black like the new one.

Comments about La Pavoni La Pavoni 4 Oz Burr (NO ETA):

Basically I like this grinder. Easy to maintain, seems reliable, grinds right amount of coffee once you learn the best setting and grind for your uses. Sometimes beans don't get fed into the chute properly and the grinder spins, races, like a car engine in neutral. A lite tapping usually knocks the beans into the chute and it seems to go on properly.

while it does have many grind settings, the finest is still outragiously course. I would not recommend this grinder to anyone. I used it a few times and gave up.

Comments about La Pavoni La Pavoni 4 Oz Burr (NO ETA):

This was a gift for my boyfriend for Christmas. We use it every morning for fresh ground coffee, and at other times with the french press. It has withstood the tests of constant use and continues to provide great grinding. Cleaning the grinding wheel and catch chamber are tedious and a bit annoying, but I'd still buy it again and again. For the price, it's a great bargain!
